165 - The ugly Slave and Venus

An ugly and bad slave girl was enjoying the love of his owner.

With the money that this one was giving to her, the slave was embellished by brilliant adornments, rivalling with the wife of the owner.

To be grateful to Venus that was making her beautiful, she was doing to her frequent sacrifices; but the goddess appeared in sleep and said to the slave:

Do not be grateful to me because I make you beautiful, if I do it, it is because I am furious against this man to whom you seem beautiful.

Do not blind you for believing that you have a treasure, perhaps it is only a lack in your neighbors.
