204 - The Priests of Cibeles

A few priests of Cibeles had a donkey to which they loaded with his bundles when were traveling.

One day due to fatigue, the donkey died, and skinning it, they did with his skin a few drums, of which they made use.

Having found them other priests of Cibeles, they asked where his donkey was.

"Dead person - they replied -; but he receives more shots now than those received in his life."

The services that are given in life, last beyond the death.
